In-Person Psychotherapy (Individual)
Working on our mental health is important at every stage of life (from childhood & adolescence through adulthood). It includes our emotional health, psychological health & social well-being. Our mental health affects how we think, feel & act, as well as how we handle stress, relate to others & make choices in our lives.
One-on-one therapy is a great way to explore your inner workings to break down the barriers that are holding you back from living life to your full potential. As a way to reduce internal suffering, we set goals to help you work through your thoughts, emotions & thinking errors in a safe & supportive space. You will learn problem solving-skills, build confidence & become more self-aware.
At Berkshire Greenleaf & Wellness, we use Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & other traditional therapeutic techniques to help you work through the challenges you are facing.
Therapy can help you see new perspectives in your life as well as change the way you see the relationships you have with others.
There are potential risks as therapy may bring up painful memories. The process of therapy may cause you to experience uncomfortable or painful feelings, such as sadness guilt, anxiety, anger, or frustration. When this happens, being open with your therapist about your thoughts & feelings is very important so they are able to help you work through the feelings to cope safety.

Family Therapy
This form of therapy is helpful for families that have trouble communicating & want to resolve conflict. In Family therapy, we will explore & identify problem areas & provide strategies to help handle disagreements in the home. Families can strengthen their relationships with one another by learning new skills & insights.
This may include all family members or just those who are able & willing to participate.

Guided Mindful Outdoor Experiences $85 An Hour Cash Only
Offering an opportunity to help participants connect to themselves through a connection with nature. This can be done individually, as a group or family.
This modality focuses on the healing power of nature through interactions with plants, animals & natural landscapes.
These are short & enjoyable excursions into nature that include day hikes, forest bathing (for relaxation & pleasure), and wandering (unstructured exploration of the environment). This encourages participants to immerse their senses in nature. Studies have shown that within 15 minutes of being out in nature, stress levels decrease, heart rate slows & blood pressure improves.
Does your child struggle with anxiety or depression? Do they need a break from their phone & the stressors of everyday life? If so, an opportunity to connect to nature may be for them!
Here we use nature as a tool to help one tap into their senses to learn the tools to access the benefits nature has to offer. Berkshire GreenLeaf & Wellness wants to encourage & inspire others to get out to experience the BENEFITS of Hiking through the Berkshires. For some, hiking may be intimidating but, I'm here to help guide and support you on your journey.
There are many benefits to outdoor sessions: Being outdoors increases serotonin & endorphins levels in the brain which helps us relax. This can also improve mood, increase motivation and boost self-esteem. Being outdoors reduces the negative feelings of anger, fear and stress that we tent to hold onto as humans. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical well-being; reducing blood pressure, decreasing our heart rate, relaxing muscle tension & decreases the amount of the stress hormone cortisol that we have in the body.
Exposing our skin to sunshine enables the body to make vitamin D. Research suggests vitamin D may have protective effects against depression and anxiety as sunlight tends to elevate our mood & help treat Seasonal Affective Disorders.
An outdoor experience consists of being guided through the process of 7 steps to help you better connect to the nature world around you so you can tap in and connect to yourself.
7 Steps to a Mindful Outdoor Experience include:
1). Centering with the Breath & Gentle Mindful Movements.
2). Walking in Silence with a Mindful Based Approach.
3). Space for processing
4). Nature meditation / Sit-Spot
5). Tea Ceremony (If you can prepare tea beforehand)
6). Fire Meditation (If you have space to do so)

Are you new to the Berkshires or not comfortable going on a hike by yourself?
In all my years of experience, I have come to realize that most of my clients did not have a connection to nature; some of them had never been hiking or camping for that matter & I want to offer an opportunity for others to connect to nature.
Choose a hike from the “ Berkshire Hikes” Tab or our App & I will guide you along your way. Choose from various degrees of hikes from easy to moderate.

Reiki Energy Session $65 Hour Session Cash Only
Reiki is the intelligent life force that connects us to what we need. This Japanese technique helps reduce stress & bring more relaxation into our lives that promotes healing. It is administered by the practitioner placing their hands on or above the client & the "life force energy" flows through us. Participates will be fully clothed on a table or a chair depending on what they are comfortable with.
Reiki calms the mind & the nervous system, allowing us to tune into our guidance system & heal the pieces of us that need it the most.
When receiving Reiki some people notice physicals sensations such as feeling tingling or changes in temperature, seeing colors, feeling light or heavy within their body, feeling sleepy or relaxed. Others may not feel any sensations at all which is completely acceptable because the Reiki is still working & you are receiving the benefits it has to offer.

Reiki Aftercare
Now that you’ve had your Reiki treatment with Berkshire GreenLeaf & Wellness, we want to remind you to take care of yourself as you settle into the energetic shifts from your session. There is no right or wrong way to feel after you have Reiki. Most clients leave feeling relaxed, light & in a blissful state. This is time for you to listen to your body & give it what it needs as it’s starting to work with the Reiki energy. Some clients may feel a shift immediately, others may feel it in the days that follow & some may not feel anything at all. But, don’t worry if you don’t feel anything, the Reiki is still working & going to where it’s most needed.
Remember to always give yourself permission for self-care; take a bath, rest, nap, drink more water or tea to stay hydrated, eat something healthy & take time for you in a quiet space. Avoid using substances & cut down on your caffeine intake for a few days after your session for best results.

I’m available to supervise those who are working on their clinical supervision hours for the social work exam (LCSW & LICSW). I have experiences supervising interns from Simmons College & have been in a clinical supervisory role since 2018.
